The purpose of this meeting is to discuss our schedule of events for the 2023-2024 season, election of new officers, perform a year in review and update our membership of any necessary changes that are to taking place by USA Wrestling and/or Colorado USA Wrestling.  Joe Betterman (State Chair) will preside over the meeting with our Board Members in attendance. 

5 board positions are open for members who would like to help operate the state affairs, namely: State Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Operating "pairing" Director and Fundraising.  Please note USWOA has officially changed the name from Pairing Officials to Operating Officials.

Roles and Responsibility of each position: 

State Chairperson: (Must have been on the board for 3 years to apply)

• See Bylaws 4.6

Treasurer: 

• See Bylaws 4.10

Secretary:

• See Bylaws 4.9

Operating "Pairing" Director: (This position is a 2 year term)

• Provide leadership and direction for all Pairings Officials within the state, maintain a current listing of all state Operating Officials and coordinate assignments to all major state-wide tournaments. 

• Ensure the competency of Pairings officials through clinics, tests and observation of performance. 

• Shall designate a senior pairings official at all state championship tournaments, and assign a Head Pairings Official to every sanctioned tournament.

Fundraising

• Implement ideas to generate funds for the growth of CUSAW
• Assist with sponsor, donation for events held by CUSAW. (Hospitality, awards, naming rights, etc.)
